ASHBURN, VA – – – Chef Rupa Vira’s name has become synonymous with the finest in authentic Indian cuisine among the metro D.C. crowd that frequents her trendy restaurant, Rupa Vira’s The Signature. And beginning October 2019, she will share her recipe for success with an even broader clientele with the opening of Celebration by Rupa Vira.

The new restaurant, located at 44260 Ice Rink Plaza, Ashburn, VA, promises an inspired menu of contemporary Indian fare to include specialty items like Quinoa Chaat, Varqui Crab, and Seafood Rassa, as well as mouthwatering desserts such as Carrot Halwa Cigars, Gulab Jamun Tiramisu and Sugar Cane Sorbet. The venue will also feature unique craft cocktails and regional wines and beer.  

At the heart of Celebration though is its festive atmosphere for business and social gatherings. The site can even accommodate private dining experiences for groups of up to 40 with custom menu options and service from a team trained to offer the heights of hospitality.

As with Rupa Vira’s The Signature, which opened in 2015, Celebration, is a labor of love – with Rupa Vira providing the epicureanism and her husband, Sharad Vira, lending the business savvy and general management. The couple expects to draw patrons from the surrounding Virginia, Maryland and DC area to its 4500 square foot space which can seat more than 120.

“We want our guests to enjoy the fine flavors of traditional Indian fare yet give them a little something extra by coupling that with modern gastronomy techniques and unique ingredients and flavors,” said Rupa. “With each item on our menu, we introduce diners to the intricacies and diversity of Indian cuisine to delight their palate.”

Likewise, the restaurant’s vibe is also well-planned and intentional in every detail, according to Sharad. From the moment a patron steps in the door, we want them to feel the serene and customer-centric energy of Celebration to ensure a dining experience that exceeds their expectations,” he said. 

The family also operates Rupa Vira Catering Services, one of the top catering services in the metro DC and surrounding areas since 2005, specializing in Punjabi, South Indian, Gujarati and Bombay styled foods.
